Job Summary
Directs and administers the Legal Resource Center (LRC) program at SF State as a part-time Student Director, coordinating at least three educational workshops per semester, overseeing budget and purchasing, supervising staff and interns, coordinating event logistics (rooms, marketing materials, and calendar updates), and ensuring up-to-date program resources and website content. Requires strong verbal/written communication, supervisory experience, ability to manage inventories and reports, and aptitude with basic office software (Excel, word processing). This role supports the LRC’s mission to educate the SF State community on legal rights and connect students with resources, while contributing to annual and monthly reporting and program development.
Required Qualifications
- Current SFSU students enrolled in at least 6 units for undergraduates or 4 units for graduates
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized, supervisory experience is preferred
- Successful completion of at least one semester in the LRC volunteer program
- Previous experience in a legal office environment, preferred
- Completed course in the Pre Law or Paralegal program, preferred
- Strong computer competency, to include excel, word processing programs, writing memos/emails
