LR_Supervisor - Local Procurement (354523)

Job Summary
Oversee end-to-end local procurement for local suppliers including sourcing, negotiation, purchase order issuance, and supplier performance evaluation; develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines for local goods and services; ensure compliance with company policies, procurement standards, and ethical sourcing practices; review Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for completeness and correctness; lead, train, and mentor the local procurement team; coordinate with internal departments, banks, and logistics to align procurement with business needs; manage supplier relationships, conduct supplier assessments and audits, and develop strategic sourcing for spares, CAPEX, and bulk materials; prepare RFI/RFP documents and manage bidding; analyse procurement data and prepare reports on savings and supplier performance; drive process improvements and maintain accurate procurement records. Health and safety and environmental responsibilities are integrated into the role, including compliance and reporting related to safety, incident reporting, and environmental performance within the department.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, contract management, and supplier negotiation
