Job Summary
Part-time LPN for Urogyn & Recon Surg at Stamford Health; coordinates patient care following standards of practice, mentors staff, and serves as a resource to staff and management. Responsibilities include greeting patients and preparing them for exams, initial patient interview, documenting in EMR, obtaining vital signs, assisting with specimen collection and minor procedures, providing patient education, scheduling testing and pre-certifications, coordinating calendar and room readiness, and maintaining inventory and clean exam spaces. Requires nursing certification and CT LPN license; 2 years of experience preferred and strong communication skills. Schedule rotates between Norwalk and Stamford with day shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Valid LPN license in CT
- BLS Certification
- Excellent customer service / communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position preferred
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
