Job Summary
As an LPN Unit Manager in Cedar Grove, NJ, you will supervise nursing staff on assigned shifts, conduct regular nursing rounds, monitor medications and patient care elements, provide education to staff, residents and families, assess patient needs to determine treatment plans, track progress under HIPAA guidelines, coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure smooth recoveries, and ensure compliance with applicable guidelines, while leveraging prior long-term care and staff-management experience in a full-time role.
Required Qualifications
- Current, Unencumbered New Jersey LPN Nurse License
- Previous long-term care experience preferred but not required
- Prior experience managing staff preferred
- Supervise the nursing staff on assigned shift by monitoring medications, blood draws, and other elements of patient care
- Conduct nursing rounds on each unit multiple times throughout the shift
- Provide education to staff, residents and family members
- Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines
- Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure smooth recovery process for residents
- Ensure staff are performing duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines
