Job Summary
Escort patients to and from exam rooms, obtain and document histories, vital signs, and medication updates in the EHR, and assist providers during examinations and in-office procedures. Administer injections, perform basic clinical procedures, and obtain insurance prior authorizations and precertifications. Schedule surgeries, referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments while triaging incoming patient calls. Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance. Collaborate with physicians to ensure quality care and participate in the clinic's after-hours on-call rotation, including one weekday and one weekend rotation per month with additional compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Active Oklahoma Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a physician office, specialty clinic, or comparable healthcare setting
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards
- Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, professional, and committed to providing outstanding patient care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
- Must be on call one weekend per month
- One weekday on-call rotation per month
