Job Summary
Manage the Resident Care Team by supervising daily assignments, covering staffing gaps, and monitoring resident health needs. Assist the Resident Care Director with documentation, incident reports, and compliance reporting while evaluating resident issues and discussing them with the ED, family, and MD. Administer medications per physician orders and participate in community marketing and wellness follow-ups. Ensure infection control compliance and support associates with assignment questions or emergencies. Work flexible shifts including 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am rotations as a full-time, part-time, or per diem associate.
Required Qualifications
- Active member of the Resident Care Team
- Assist the Resident Care Director with the management of the community
- Direct supervision of Resident Care Associates
- Monitoring emerging health needs of residents
- Covering for resident care staffing as needed
- Assisting the Resident Care Director with on-call duties
- Following up on family issues as directed by Resident Care Director
- Active role in growing community occupancy
- Representing and interacting positively with potential residents, family members and professionals
- Assist with the evaluation of resident needs
- Development and revision of service plans as per state regulatory requirements
- Demonstrate an understanding of pathophysiological and psychosocial changes that is associated with the aging process and disabilities
- Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- May require lifting, bending and standing for extended periods of time
- High school diploma
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program
- At least two years of experience in a geriatric setting
- Previous health experience in hospital and/or community setting
- Current RN or LPN License in the state you are employed
- Must be able to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs.
- Must be able to carry objects
- Must be able to push and pull carts
- Must be able to continuously walk, sit and stand
- Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height
- Must use good body mechanics
- Must project a positive attitude towards the service provided
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
