Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse in the surgical unit. Administer oral meds and IV piggyback meds, perform trach care and dressing changes, and document assessments and care plans after the RN initiates the care plan. Anticipate and coordinate care by communicating with physicians/APPs, charting on assessments and care plans, and assisting with NG tube care and feedings. Read and respond to EKGs in the central telemetry area; support discharge education. The role is for Carle Health in central/southeastern Illinois with opportunities across multiple facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Illinois IDFPR; BLS within 30 days - AHA; College Diploma: Licensed Practical Nurse (Required)
