Job Summary
Provide overall leadership and management of resident health and wellbeing within the community. Maintain communications with healthcare providers regarding order changes and requests. Ensure the community adheres to all federal, state, and local clinical care laws and regulations. Collect and report occurrences, assisting in developing or implementing improvement plans as necessary. Partner with the administrator, pharmacy consultant, and other team members to maintain resident and team member health safety. Administer medications, injections, and nebulizers, and perform moderate wound care when the floor nurse is unavailable. Evaluate resident needs through the Service Plan process, documenting changes in health care status and updating service plans based on state regulations. Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants to assure delivery of consistently high quality care. Maintain current state license and demonstrate competence in assessment, medication administration, follow-up, and triage.
Required Qualifications
- Maintains current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse per state regulations
- Experience in assisted living, home health or long-term care industries
- Must demonstrate competence in assessment skills, injections/medication administration, follow up and triage
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse preferred for overnight shifts
