Job Summary
Administer skilled nursing care to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Implement nursing care plans, provide treatments and diagnostic procedures, and observe patient reactions to report changes in physical or emotional condition. Teach patients and families self-care techniques, maintain accurate clinical records, and participate in medical record audits and staff conferences. Take on-call duty for nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state-approved school of practical (vocational) nursing
- Currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing
- Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment
- Ability to participate in physical activity
- Ability to work for an extended periods of time while standing and being involved in physical activity
- Heavy lifting
- Ability to do extensive bending, lifting, and standing on a regular basis
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in nursing
