Job Summary
Direct Care: provide first aid and address sudden illnesses or injuries during the school day; Medication Administration: safely dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines; Specialized Care: assist with one-on-one student needs such as tube feedings, catheterizations, or tracheostomy care; Administer vaccines; Record Keeping: document daily visits, treatments, and medication logs in electronic health databases; Screening Assistance: help conduct routine student health checks (vision/hearing); Emergency Response: act quickly during health emergencies using CPR, AED, and first aid protocols; Strong communication, organizational, and emergency-response skills; Education: completion of a formal practical nursing program; Experience: pediatric, clinical, or school nursing preferred; Certifications/Licensure: active and unencumbered MA LPN license with CPR and AED certifications.
