Job Summary
Deliver resident-centered nursing care in accordance with physician orders, individualized care plans, and established standards. Assess residents, monitor for changes in condition, and promptly communicate concerns to healthcare providers. Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies while maintaining accurate documentation and safely managing controlled substances. Respond to emergencies and changes in resident status, ensuring compliance with infection prevention and regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding care plans. Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants as appropriate and participate in shift reports and ongoing training. Work 12-hour overnight shifts on an every-other-weekend schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) or Registered Nursing (RN) program
- Current, active, and unrestricted New Jersey LPN or RN license
- Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience
- Current BLS (CPR) certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and other computer-based systems
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents throughout a 12-hour shift
- Ability to work the required overnight schedule and every other weekend
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long-term care, or assisted living
- First Aid and AED certification
