Job Summary
Assess, communicate, and document residents' status while observing and reporting significant changes in behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations. Direct and supervise daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants, closely mentoring Lead Resident Care Assistants in all job aspects. Coordinate care needs with community providers via an effective case management process, effectively balancing service demands with supporting resident independence. Recognize and assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, responding to emergencies and personal emergency response systems with appropriate backup calls. Work evenings from 1pm-9pm or 3pm-9pm as a part-time LPN/RN at Bay Square at Yarmouth, earning $32-$36/hr for LPNs or $37-$41/hr for RNs.
Required Qualifications
- Current state license as an LPN
- CPR certification
- Graduate of an approved LPN program
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred
- Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable
