Job Summary
Coordinate, supervise, and assist in the delivery of resident care in accordance with DPH & OBRA regulations at a medium-sized long-term care facility. Act as a support and resource person for nurses and unit managers regarding resident consultation and staffing. Supervise CNAs and interface with physician staff for planning and implementing nursing care for long-term and acutely ill geriatric residents. Provide clinical expertise to staff, assist in training and evaluation, and conduct interdisciplinary care plan meetings. Work closely with the Director of Nursing to improve quality of care and interact with families. Requires a current MA LPN/RN license, 2-4 years of experience, and nursing management experience. Salary ranges from $37.50 to $48 depending on credentials and shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Current MA LPN/RN License - in good standing
- Minimum 2-4 years experience, preferably in a LTC setting
- Nursing management experience required
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Demonstrates the role of supervisor in a professional and courteous manner
- Patience, compassion, and a desire to work with the elderly
