Job Summary
Provide nursing care to residents in Benchmark Senior Living’s home-like community. Accurately assess, document, and communicate residents’ status; observe and report significant changes to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations. Direct and supervise the daily work of Resident Care Assistants and Lead RCAs; coordinate care needs with community providers through an effective case-management process; balance service demands with resident independence. Recognize and help prevent elder abuse or exploitation and respond to emergencies; require current LPN/RN license and CPR certification, graduate of an approved program, and 1–2 years of nursing experience with elderly care preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current state license as an LPN/RN and CPR certification
- Graduate of an approved LPN/RN program (per state requirements)
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred
- Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable
