Job Summary
Program Nurse coordinates and supervises basic health services and needs of patients in the Specialized Alzheimer’s Day Center, administers patient medications as directed by prescription labels and physician orders, and develops and implements individual care plans. Responsibilities include evaluating and supervising patients’ health needs, adjusting care plans as conditions change, interacting with patient physicians, and assisting with personal care needs. Under the Program Manager’s oversight, may supervise program staff and volunteers. Requires a clear, active Florida LPN license and 2-5 years of clinical experience (or psychiatric/crisis intervention background preferred); AHCA Level II background and drug screenings required. Skills include strong verbal and written communication, multitasking, time management, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Clear, active Florida LPN license
- 2-5 years’ experience in a clinical setting (or psychiatric/crisis intervention background) preferred, although recent graduates will be considered
- Must pass AHCA level II criminal background and drug screenings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and still maintain flexibility
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office suite products
- Work independently and as part of a team
