Job Summary
Conduct psychiatric and medical assessments, administer medications and injections, and monitor vital signs for assigned consumers. Collaborate with the treatment team to evaluate physical health, psychiatric history, and social functioning, while transcribing medication orders and reviewing drug interactions monthly. Perform individual, group, and family supportive therapy, instruct clients on daily medication dosages, and document all services in the electronic health record within specified timeframes. Liaise with physicians, dietitians, hospitals, pharmacies, and family members on health situations, providing crisis intervention and mental health counseling as needed. Ensure compliance with agency, OMH, and OASAS regulations through timely progress notes and accurate record maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse, registered, or Registered Nurse
- at least one year of experience working with the mentally health population
- Computer proficiency, including the ability to use email, navigate and enter all documentation into electronic medical record
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- knowledge of group dynamics
