Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed provider or Registered Professional Nurse while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state, ensuring compliance with all State Board of Nursing requirements. This role requires Basic Life Support certification, with additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, PEARS, or S.T.A.B.L.E. potentially required based on the unit. Candidates must be prepared for physical demands including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and turning patients up to 50 pounds. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Stand/Walk most of the time on duty
- Significant amount of bending and stooping
- Lifting and turning patients with assistance
- Push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- IV Certification within 1 year of hire
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support)
- Six Assessment & Care Modules
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
