Job Summary

Assist the physician with patient examinations, procedures, and treatment while performing routine nursing duties within the scope of practice. Develop individualized nursing care plans, document limited physical and psychosocial assessments, and administer specified medications and injections as ordered. Collect and label specimens, maintain sterile instruments, clean exam rooms, and coordinate indigent programs and patient scheduling. Provide patient education on diabetic management, diet, and medication administration, and monitor medication expiration dates and refrigeration logs. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to address concerns and maintain confidentiality. Requires a current Montana LPN license, two years of medical experience, and BLS certification. Day shift, 10-hour schedule at Logan Health.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Montana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • RQI Provider (BLS) certification within seven (7) days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in similar position within a medical setting (i.e., physician practice or hospital)
  • Possess knowledge of equipment, supplies and instruments used in a medical office
