Job Summary
Supervise and administer medications to assigned residents while monitoring monthly self-medication programs. Monitor personal care provided by Resident Assistants and assist with direct care as necessary. Report changes in condition, daily needs, and resident progress to the Director of Nursing. Maintain documentation in Case Notes and Medication Administration Records. Manage controlled substance medications, ensuring proper storage and distribution. Follow individual plans of care and ensure resident rights and preferences are respected. Receive and store lost or found articles, notifying the Director of Nursing or Case Manager. This role supports Elderwood's mission of people caring for people within our assisted living communities, promoting independence while coordinating health services.
Required Qualifications
- Credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse with a current State license", "Experience in geriatric nursing preferred", "Organizational skills and ability to supervise department staff effectively and work well with personnel of other departments", "Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
