Job Summary
Supervise and administer medications to assigned residents while monitoring personal care services provided by Resident Assistants. Report changes in resident condition and daily needs to the Director of Nursing, ensuring strict adherence to individual plans of care. Manage controlled substances by receiving, storing, and distributing medications, maintaining accurate documentation in Case Notes and Medication Administration Records. Assist with direct resident care as necessary and resolve staffing or supply issues during shifts. Ensure resident rights and preferences are respected while maintaining high standards of care. Requires current LPN license, geriatric experience preferred, and ability to communicate in English at an intermediate or advanced level.
Required Qualifications
- Credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse with a current State license
- Organizational skills
- Ability to supervise department staff effectively
- Ability to work well with personnel of other departments
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in geriatric nursing
