Job Summary
Supervise and administer medications to assigned residents while monitoring the personal care services provided by Resident Assistants. Assist with direct care tasks as necessary and report changes in resident conditions, daily needs, and progress to the Director of Nursing. Maintain documentation in Case Notes and Medication Administration Records, ensuring proper storage and distribution of controlled substances. Follow each resident's plan of care and uphold care standards while respecting resident rights and preferences. Work the 11pm-7am shift to ensure resident safety and comfort within our assisted living communities.
Required Qualifications
- Credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse with a current State license
- Organizational skills and ability to supervise department staff effectively and work well with personnel of other departments
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in geriatric nursing
