Job Summary
Provides basic nursing care by assessing residents on admission and ongoing, communicates changes to the IDT, and documents assessments. Participates in care planning, updates plans as interventions change, and implements nursing interventions including medication administration and IV care where certified. Maintains SBARR communications with physicians, families, and IDT; monitors care plan delivery; and utilizes QAPI processes for problem resolution. Requires LPN license, IV and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain within six months), and 12 hours of nursing-related continuing education. Shift: 6:30pm–7:00am. Location: Clayton, Missouri (401 Corporate Park Dr, Clayton, MO 63105).
Required Qualifications
- Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current license in the state of employment as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- IV Certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment
- Current CPR/AED Certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment
- Must be able to assess the basic nursing care needs of the geriatric resident
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must possess critical thinking skills
