Job Summary
Provides basic nursing care for geriatric residents in long-term/rehab/assisted living settings, including assessments, care-planning, medication administration, IV care (IV-certified), and collaboration with IDT. Maintains documentation, uses SBARR for physician communication, supports resident/family education, and participates in QAPI-driven problem resolution. Night-shift, 12-hour schedule with potential for ongoing nursing education and career advancement within Bethesda.
Required Qualifications
- Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Current LPN license in the state of employment
- IV Certification required or willing to obtain within six months
- Current CPR/AED Certification required or willing to obtain within six months
- Must be able to assess basic nursing needs of geriatric residents
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Critical thinking skills
