Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments of residents' health status and develop individualized care plans based on their needs. Administer prescribed medications, provide wound care, and perform routine medical procedures in accordance with care protocols. Supervise and support nursing staff, including CNAs and LPNs, while providing guidance and training to ensure compliance with facility protocols. Effectively communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care and enhance the resident experience. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to infection control protocols and regulatory standards. Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing immediate interventions and stabilizing residents in critical situations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Previous experience in a nursing role
- Experience in supervisory roles and leadership
