Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple Mercy facilities in the St. Louis region. Float between designated Community Mercy Hospital units including Orthopedics, Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Department. Maintain a current LPN license, hold required BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and demonstrate one to two years of recent bedside experience depending on specialty. Perform duties involving standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds while working nights on a part-time schedule. Earn base pay plus $2.75 to $3.75 per hour in shift differentials for evenings and nights.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
