Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Float between designated Community Mercy Hospital units including Orthopedics, Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Department. Maintain a current LPN license and hold required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS depending on specialty. Work nights as part of a full-time regional float pool, rotating through eight locations from Washington, MO to Cape Girardeau, MO. Lift and turn patients up to 50 pounds while standing or walking most of the shift.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
