Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple Mercy facilities in the St. Louis region, including Orthopedics, Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Department units. Float between designated Community Mercy Hospital locations such as Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, and Southeast to provide diverse patient care. Maintain a current LPN license, hold required certifications like BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and possess at least one year of recent bedside experience for Med/Surg or two years for critical care specialties. Perform duties involving standing, walking, and lifting patients up to 50 pounds while adhering to state board of nursing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
