Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse needed for Mercy Regional Float Pool (Full Time, Nights) to float between Mercy St. Louis-area facilities. Responsibilities include applying theoretical nursing concepts to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized care for adult/geriatric patients; provide nursing care across Med/Surg, ICU, ED, and other units as assigned; collaborate with diverse teams across multiple hospital sites; maintain licensure and relevant certifications (BLS; optional ACLS/PALS as required by unit); demonstrate clinical assessment skills, documentation, and adherence to nursing standards. Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN license in the hiring state, with required bedside experience (1 year for Med/Surg, 2 years for ED/ICU), and IV certification; Epic experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- LPN license in the hiring state
- One year of recent bedside LPN experience for Med Surg; two years for ED/ICU/etc.
- Current CPR/BLS (and certification requirements per specialty: BLS for MS, ACLS for CC, PALS for ED)
- IV certification required
- Ability to stand/walk, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds
- Hospitals across multiple Mercy facilities in the St. Louis region
- Sign-On Bonus $2,000
- Shift: Nights
- Full Time status
