Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple Mercy Hospital facilities in the St. Louis region. Float between designated Community Mercy locations including St. Louis, Festus, South St. Louis County, Washington, Troy, Perryville, Cape Girardeau, and Dexter. Provide bedside care in diverse units such as Orthopedics, Med/Surg, ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health. Maintain a current LPN license, hold required certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS where applicable), and possess one to two years of recent bed-side LPN experience. Work nights as part of a full-time regional float pool with shift differentials and access to tuition reimbursement and retirement matching.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Availability for nights shift
- Willingness to float between designated Community Mercy Hospital facilities
- Minimum of 3 assigned facilities
