Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple Mercy facilities in the St. Louis region. Float between designated units including Orthopedics, Med/Surg, ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, and Emergency Department. Maintain a current LPN license and obtain required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS depending on specialty. Work nights with significant patient lifting and turning duties. Earn shift differentials of $2.75 for evenings and $3.75 for nights.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Availability for nights shift
- Willingness to float between designated Community Mercy Hospital facilities
