Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple Mercy facilities in the St. Louis region. Float between designated locations including Mercy Perry, Mercy Jefferson, and Mercy St. Louis, providing bedside support in units such as Med/Surg, ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, and Emergency Department. Maintain a current LPN license, hold required certifications like BLS and ACLS, and possess one to two years of recent bed-side experience depending on specialty. Work nights in a full-time role with shift differentials and sign-on bonus, standing, walking, and lifting patients up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for nights shift
- Must be willing to float between designated Community Mercy Hospital facilities
- Must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
