Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple Mercy facilities in the St. Louis region. Float between designated Community Mercy Hospital units including Orthopedics, Med/Surg, ICU, and Cardiac Telemetry. Maintain a current LPN license and hold required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS depending on specialty. Work nights as part of a full-time regional float pool, providing clinical assessment and communication support to diverse patient populations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Ability to stand and walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 pounds
- Availability for nights shift
- Willingness to float between designated Community Mercy Hospital facilities
