Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple Mercy facilities in the St. Louis region. Float between designated Community Mercy Hospital locations including St. Louis, Festus, South St. Louis County, Washington, Troy, Perryville, Cape Girardeau, and Dexter. Provide bedside care in diverse units such as Orthopedics, Med/Surg, Telemetry, ICU, Cardiac Vascular, Oncology, Neurology, and Emergency Department. Maintain current LPN licensure, hold required BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and possess at least one year of recent Med/Surg experience or two years for critical care specialties. Work nights as a full-time role with shift differentials and a sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for nights shift
- Must be willing to float between designated Community Mercy Hospital facilities
- Must be willing to work at Mercy St. Louis, Mercy Jefferson, Mercy South, Mercy Washington, Mercy Lincoln, Mercy Perry, Mercy Southeast, or Mercy Stoddard facilities
- Must be willing to work in Orthopedics, Med/Surg, Medical Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, Medical Stepdown, Surgical Stepdown, Cardiac Telemetry, Cardiac Vascular Intensive Care, Oncology, Neurology, Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, or ICU units
