Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple Mercy facilities in the St. Louis region. Float between designated community hospitals including Mercy Perry, Mercy St. Louis, and Mercy Jefferson, serving diverse units such as Med/Surg, ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, and Emergency Department. Maintain current LPN licensure, hold required certifications like BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and possess one to two years of recent bedside experience depending on specialty. Perform duties involving standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and patient turning. Work nights in a full-time role with regional shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for nights shift
- Must be available for weekends shift
- Must be available for evenings shift
- Must be able to float between designated Community Mercy Hospital facilities
