Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple Mercy Hospital facilities in the St. Louis region. Float between designated units including Orthopedics, Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Department. Maintain a current LPN license and hold required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS depending on specialty. Work nights with shift differentials, standing or walking most of the time while lifting and turning patients. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
