Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Float between designated Mercy Community Hospital sites including Jefferson, St. Louis, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard. Provide bedside care in diverse units such as Med/Surg, ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, Neurology, and Emergency Department. Maintain a current LPN license and hold required certifications like BLS, ACLS, and PALS depending on specialty. Work nights as part of a full-time regional float pool rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for nights shift
- Must be available for weekends shift
- Must be available for evenings shift
- Must be willing to float between designated Community Mercy Hospital facilities
- Must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
