Job Summary
Coordinate nursing care for residents by assigning nurse aides, performing assessments, and administering treatments per physician orders. Provide safe medication interventions, including wound care, urinary catheterization, and oxygen management, while accurately documenting all actions and responding to pain requests. Order medications from pharmacy, account for narcotics, and notify management of staff shortages or status changes. Requires current state LPN license, CPR certification, and preference for two years' experience in long-term care.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a current state license to practice as a licensed practical nurse (LPN)
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrates knowledge of basic nursing practice
