Coordinate nursing care for residents on the unit, ensuring each is assigned a nurse aide capable of providing necessary support. Administer and document medications and treatments according to physician orders, including wound care, urinary catheterization, and oxygen care, while maintaining accurate counts of narcotics and managing medication carts. Perform nursing assessments regarding resident health status, promptly notify physicians of changes, and implement new orders. Prepare work assignment sheets based on resident safety and staff capabilities, and report staff shortages to management. This role requires a current state LPN license, CPR certification, and experience in long-term care, with flexible scheduling and holiday pay incentives available.
