Job Summary
PRN overnight LPN providing professional nursing care to residents in long-term care, under supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Performs nursing duties within the full scope of practice, administers medications or treatments as ordered, documents resident interactions and outcomes, and collaborates with health care providers and residents' families. Maintains confidentiality and adapts care to age and population-specific standards per care plan; supports resident education and self-care, and participates as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- If position requires IV therapy/management skills, graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing
- Must have completed pre-licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience across the life span or have a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility
