Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting as a PRN LPN. Functions under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, applying nursing principles to the resident's physical and psychosocial needs per the care plan. Perform tasks such as administering medications or treatments, conducting assessments, documenting resident interactions and outcomes, and contributing to an interdisciplinary care team. Demonstrates ability to recognize problems, respond to emergent situations, and support residents and families with education and preventive strategies. Requires adherence to confidentiality, effective communication, and ongoing competency development; shift is overnight (10:30pm–6:30am) with variable weekly hours. License verification, CEU/compliance, and potential IV therapy/managment as per role and state requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with state nursing board
- Associates degree in practical nursing preferred
- Experience with IV therapy/management in North Dakota (if applicable) or equivalent training
- Completion of supervised clinical experience or 400 hours of LPN experience as required by facility
- Continuing education and competency requirements as part of department/facility standards
