Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care for residents in Long Term Care on a PRN overnight schedule (10:30pm–6:30am). Responsibilities include administering medications or treatments, documenting resident care and outcomes, supporting an interdisciplinary care team, and ensuring resident safety and comfort per care plans. Requires completion of an accredited LPN program, an active LPN license, and ability to perform clinical tasks across age groups; IV therapy knowledge may be required in some locales. This is a PRN overnight role with flexible shift pickups in a not-for-profit long-term care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- Experience or coursework including supervised clinical experience across the life span, or minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility (where applicable)
- IV therapy/management skills (North Dakota-specific note if applicable)
- Completion of required CEU and competency training as per department/facility
- Ability to perform testing and administer medications or treatments as ordered
- Ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality
