Job Summary
LPN - PRN Overnight position in Long Term Care. Provides professional nursing care to residents under supervision, with 10:30pm–6:30am shifts. Responsibilities include monitoring residents, administering medications/treatments, documenting care outcomes, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and supporting resident education and self-care plans. Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, an active LPN license, and ability to meet competency and CEU requirements. Pick up shifts as needed, with PRN overnight coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current unencumbered LPN license with State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges
- Associate degree in practical nursing preferred
- Experience requirements: supervised clinical experience or minimum 400 hours as LPN at another facility (specific services may have additional education, training or experience requirements)
- Ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of resident status and provide needed care
- Ability to administer medications or treatments as ordered
- Ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to counsel residents and families on prevention and treatment plans
- Possess knowledge of resident education principles to develop self-care programs
- Maintain required competencies and certifications; complete annual CEUs and training
- IV therapy/management requirements for ND region if applicable
