Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision, including administering medications and treatments, conducting assessments, and contributing to care plans. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for residents of all ages, works within an interdisciplinary team, communicates clearly, maintains confidentiality, and counsels residents and families on prevention and treatment plans. Overnight PRN LPN with a shift from 10:30pm to 6:30am; opportunities to pick up shifts; associated benefits and eligibility details available. Must be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program with an active LPN license, and meet any state-specific requirements (including potential IV therapy training) as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility
- IV therapy/management skills (if applicable in North Dakota)
