Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision, administers medications and treatments as ordered, performs testing to evaluate the resident's status, contributes to assessments, documents care outcomes, and communicates with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team. The role supports care planning, safety, and confidentiality, and requires competency across aging populations, with 12-hour varied shifts for PRN/casual opportunities. Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and an active LPN license; associate degree in practical nursing is noted as preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges
- If IV therapy/management is required, compliance with ND requirements (IV therapy course or approved program) and supervised clinical experience
