Job Summary
Ensure accurate, regulatory-compliant documentation while promoting and overseeing the safety and well-being of children through written procedures and awareness of potential dangers. Attend to personal and program needs that children cannot independently accomplish, and keep the nursing and administrative team advised of medical and dietary concerns. Oversee equipment maintenance, participate in treatment team meetings and trainings, and establish a work environment with positive communication between supervisors and employees. This 12-month preschool position requires a Licensed Practical Nurse with NYS licensure and a valid driver's license to work independently.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Valid NYS Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- current NYS Registration Certificate
- One-Step TB test
- Ability to lift and/or assist children
- ability to meet the physical requirements of the specific job
- Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel)
- valid NYS Driver's License
- ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted
