Job Summary
Ensure accurate, regulatory-compliant documentation while promoting and overseeing the safety and well-being of children through written and verbal procedures. Attend to personal and program needs for children who cannot independently accomplish self-care, and maintain equipment and supplies. Keep the nursing and administrative team advised of medical and dietary concerns, and provide support and consultation among participants. Establish a positive communication environment that assimilates new employees into the agency's culture. This 12-month preschool position requires a valid NYS LPN license, current registration, and the ability to make independent decisions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Valid NYS Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- current NYS Registration Certificate
- One-Step TB test
- Ability to lift and/or assist children
- ability to meet the physical requirements of the specific job
- Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel)
- valid NYS Driver's License
- ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted
