Job Summary
Ensure accurate, regulatory-compliant documentation while promoting the safety and well-being of children through written and verbal procedures. Attend to personal and program needs for children who cannot independently accomplish tasks, and maintain equipment and supplies. Keep the nursing and administrative team advised of medical and dietary concerns, and initiate peer support among participants. Establish a positive communication environment that assimilates new employees into the agency's culture. Participate in treatment team meetings, trainings, and committees. This 12-month preschool position requires a Licensed Practical Nurse with NYS licensure and registration, valid driver's license, and ability to make independent decisions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Valid NYS Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- current NYS Registration Certificate
- One-Step TB test
- Ability to lift and/or assist children in your care
- ability to meet the physical requirements of the specific job
- Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel)
- valid NYS Driver's License
- ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted
