Job Summary
LPN positions across UofL Health system (PCU, psych, rehab) in Louisville, KY. The nurse provides patient care using the nursing process, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, and delivers direct care based on physician orders and the patient care plan. Responsibilities include comprehensive daily assessments, prioritizing patient needs, updating care plans, administering medications, documenting interventions and progress, recognizing abnormal lab results, teaching patients and families, ensuring safety, maintaining HIPAA compliance, and participating in quality and education initiatives. Requires completing an LPN program, active Kentucky LPN licensure, CPR/BLS upon hire, and typically prefers prior acute care or rehab experience. 80% attendance in shift meetings, ongoing education, and adherence to organizational standards are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an LPN program at an accredited school of nursing (required)
- Current license to practice as an LPN in the Commonwealth of Kentucky (required)
- CPR/BLS required upon Hire (American Heart Association) (required)
- Experience: Prior acute care or rehab experience (preferred)
