Job Summary
Document all patient care, collect vital signs and history, and prepare patients for surgical procedures, tests, and treatments. Assist the health care provider in determining patient needs, evaluate supplies and equipment, and complete JCAHO data elements including domestic violence and pain assessments. Recognize patient care problems and react appropriately in emergencies while administering care to well patients and those with health problems in an outpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a Licensed Practical Nursing Program
- Current license and registration to practice Practical Nursing in New York State
- Infection Control
- BLS Certification (can be obtained at time of hire)
