Job Summary
Provide nursing care to residents in a warm, home-like environment; accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status; observes and reports changes to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations; directs and supervises daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants; mentors Lead Resident Care Assistants; coordinates care needs with community providers via case management; balances service demands with resident independence; prevents elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation; responds to emergencies and uses the personal emergency response system; requires current RN license and CPR certification; 1–2 years of nursing experience with the elderly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current state license as an RN and CPR certification
- Graduate of an approved RN program (per state requirements)
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred.
- Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable.
